Tone
on Tone Embroidery
First
the Embroidery, then the dyeing
We are frequently asked
how the embroidery thread we supply reacts to subsequent dyeing.
The following should
be noted:
- 1. Embroidery
thread and fabric should be made of the same raw material. For
cottons we recommend our cotton thread COTTY, colour 156. On man-made
fabrics we recommend our rayon thread SULKY, colour 1071.
- 2. Different
materials react differently to dyeing. For this reason, it is
advisable to test beforehand.
- 3. All embroidery
threads are treated with a lubricant. The dyer should remove this
finish before dyeing.
If you follow these instructions,
we are sure that your tone on tone embroidery will be a complete
success.
